Primarily contains materials pertaining to the preparation, activity, and aftermath of the 1948 and 1950 General Church Councils (Sobors) which lead to the creation of the present Ukrainian Orthdox Church of the USA. It includes correspondence, meeting minutes, Sobor minutes, and messages of support and dissent sent to the Sobor. It also includes materials related to legal disputes between the Board of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in America and Bp. Bohdan, and letters to Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras regarding the Board's dissatisfaction with Bp. Bohdan. Some folders contain materials dated 1941 to 1946. It also contains some incidental materials related to general Church administration and parish business during the this time period.
